Ballymoney School is situated south of the village of Ballineen.
Ballineen and Enniskeane are two growing villages connected by ribbon
development on the R586 between the small towns of Bandon and Dunmanway.
At the Centra Shop in Ballineen take the road that leads you down to the bridge
crossing the River Bandon. You will see the school ahead of you.
If you are approaching the school from Rossmore, you will find it to your
right before the bridge; if coming from Clonakilty the school is on your left
before the bridge.
School Building
Ballymoney National School is situated in a beautiful area overlooking the valley of the River Bandon. This Church of Ireland School is under the patronage of the Bishop of Cork. The twenty five or so children live in a supportive community which is largely rural but now with many newcomers from different backgrounds. This lively, happy school is a two teacher school with a secretary and part time learning support teachers and specialists. The Rector, who is the Chair of the Board of Management takes turns with the Methodist Minister in weekly assemblies.
