Harvest for the whole Union and where we invite our Methodist friends as well as friends from America and elsewhere will be on 14th October at Kilmeen. We hope everybody across the Union will be present at this service. There will be refreshments afterwards.  The Harvest theme will start the two Sundays previous (30th Sept/7th Oct), in the other churches. Harvest includes the whole of life and all year round not just in autumn. At this service we will give thanks for the restoration of the three south windows in the church, shelves for hymn and prayer books given in memory of loved ones. More about this next month.

We have welcomed into the church of God through baptism, Sinead Chloe Baker-Bennett  - daughter of Anne and Anthony at Christ Church, Kilmeen on 18th August .

On 8th September we welcomed Killian Walter Henry Conner through baptism. At the same service, his parents Matt Conner and Kate (née Kingston) had their marriage blessed. It was good to so many friends and relatives at both these occasions and we wish Sinead and Killian, with their parents, all blessings in their lives.

On 1st September – we enjoyed a balmy night for the Union BBQ – lots of wonderful food, and great interest over the old photographs of adults in the congregation who were children in the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s with some even earlier than that. Thanks to all who provided, cooked, helped tidy up and generally enjoyed the evening. It is times like this that the church community of all ages is strengthened and communion made in a different way.
